Description: This one day class focuses on the ORiNOCO WiFi product family. The class covers the design of an Access Network, the indoor Site Survey process, installation and configuration of Access Points, client devices, and monitoring and troubleshooting of an ORiNOCO network. This class also covers the implementation of ProximVision Advanced and the use of PVA to manage AP and client devices. Following the class the students have an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the topics covered in this class by taking the PCWE Certification exam, Scoring 80% or higher on the exam allows students to be rewarded a certificate symbolizing their proficiency of the ORiNOCO product line. Description: This 2 day class focuses on the Proxim Tsunami Point to Point and Point to MultiPoint products. The class covers RF Fundamentals, wireless network design concepts, site survey, deployment best practices, and specific features of the Proxim Tsunami product family. Proxim proprietary technologies are covered including WORP, ClearConnect, SmartConnnect, and broadband mobility using FastConnect. The basic configuration of the radio is also covered including VLAN, QoS, and security. This class is intended for professionals involved in the full application of the Tsunami product in terms of design, deployment, operation and maintenance. This class also takes the student through high level instruction on the ProximVision® Advanced product. Following the class the students have an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the class topics by taking the PCBA exam. By scoring 80% or higher on the exam, students will obtain a certificate symbolizing their proficiency with Tsunami products.. PCBE - Proxim Certified Broadband Engineer Class Name: Advanced Broadband Wireless Engineering Intended audience: Proxim Wireless Partners and Integrators who have the desire to achieve the highest level of certification offered by Proxim. Description: This 2 day class provides detailed activities with both unlicensed Tsunami® Point to Point and Point to MultiPoint equipment and licensed high speed backhaul Point to Point products. Technical designs, topologies, and configurations are included as well as hands-on deployment practice. Students will engage in path analysis using Google Earth, link calculations, and use other wireless design tools. Following the class students will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of the topics covered during this class by scoring 80% or higher on the PCBE exam, demonstrating network design proficiency and practical wireless network design and deployment skills. Students successfully completing this course receive recognition with the highest certification offered by Proxim Wireless. Proxim can create customized classes by request.
